National League Division 2

Kilmarnock 4 v 1 Bellshill Cardinals

After a 3-0 demolition of Dundee by The Blaze, Kilmarnock were out to do the same to the visitors Bellshill Cardinals. After a very shaky start to the first set, Kilmarnock had everything to prove after going 1-0 down after poor and slow play.

We started the second with a slight change putting Traynor back into the passing unit to try and stabilise things, and this worked for a short period of time. As Bellshill were able to keep most of Kilmarnock’s offence alive. The addition of the French man, Bob helped increase the hitting power that Gary McGuire was showing. This enabled Kilmarnock to take the second set and narrowly get the third set.

The fourth set came, and so did fatigue. However the young boys, Young and Bryson were able to keep the ball off the floor by diving all over the court giving the Cardinals no answer as they were not able to hit over the massive block of Mitchell and Jackson. This led to Kilmarnock taking the game 3-1, but with a set to play.

Kilmarnock would like to say Good Bye to Barry Chambers who played his last game of the year, as he is going off to Dubai for work. Hope to see you back soon!
